LISTSERVEs

The following list of LISTSERVES is updated often, so keep an eye out for new links, and please send an email to the editor if you find a link to be broken or misdirected, or to suggest a LISTSERVE not on the list.

CASP Forum
CASP stands for College Academic Support Programs. Each year CASP presents a state conference that is co-sponsored by the Texas Association of Developmental Education (TADE), the Texas College Reading and Learning Association (TxCRLA), and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). The CASP forum listserv provides a discussion forum not only for members and affiliates of these organizations but for all interested developmental education and learning assistance professionals. In particular, information concerning Texas State law, such as the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), and pending legislation that affects our field will be important topics for this forum.
LRNASST-L
The LRNASST listserve was started in 1994 at the University of Arizona's Winter Institute for Learning Assistance Professionals.  It was created in order to provide learning assistance practitioners and developmental educators a way to share information via email.  In 1997, more than 700 subscribers networked electronically with questions, answers, problems, solutions, and even "position available" notices posted on LRNASST.  The contact person was Guillermo Uribe, University of Arizona.

In 2003, the listserve was moved to the University of Florida and its name changed to LRNASST-L.  By 2007, subscriptions had grown to more than 1200 with 6 countries represented among its members. We hope all professional organizations like CRLA, NADE, CRA, NYCLSA, NCLCA, and NCEOA will use LRNASST-L to inter-network for the benefit of all who work in learning assistance and developmental education programs and services.
